Back from hiatus

It is interesting that at my age I am still struggling with keeping a diary, that is what I think a blog is like. Why is this so maybe because I am not a scientist who keeps regular notes as he works or probably because I don't talk very much so don't find it easy to be very conversational, whatever it is, I think that it is a disgrace to have been silent for nearly one year. It is not a lack of things to say, the issue has been finding the time to say it. Since starting my course at Ahmadu Bello University, I have been inundated with so much work that it has been a huge task finding time for painting. Even sleep only got 4hrs a day of my time. It is only now that I can trully admit that I am old, I remember being able to go 36hrs without sleep during my days as a student at the Yaba College of Technology but now my body is the boss, when it says sleep I have to obey or risk being unproductive for the next 24hrs. Well during the haitus I did manage to squeeze in some painting time, I was able to produce some pieces one of which by the grace of God would be at arthouse auction. Next week it would be back to the trenches, hoping and praying to make it back home in one piece especially with all the needless killing going on in the north. I don't want to get started on that because it fills me with so much anger and pain. I would have to look for a way to release all that negative energy in a piece maybe I will be able to find peace on the matter. I have got to go work beacons.
