Dear folks, this is coming to you from the north of nigeria where i have relocated to obtain a B.A in textile design from the great ABU, i have been here only a few weeks living among the natives and i can tell you that i feel like a foreigner in my own country. I think it is because i dont understand the language yet, but i am looking forward to it. It will be the defining factor in trully understanding how they think. People will speak nicely to a stranger in a language he undertsands but will only say how they truly feel in a language they think the stranger cant understand. So here goes to acquiring one more language to my language bank. Before i forget am also going to be acquiring more kaftans and tunics to my wardrobe, it makes it easier to blend in, it is also an opportunity for me to create some cool contemporary northern inspired ensembles for my next collection. So stay tuned for some more happenings in the north of naija. oh by the way these assignments are killing me there doesnt seem to be enough time to get them all done. Cherio i am off to continue my study of dragonflies for an assignment.

Most of which is evident in my use of materials like food for jewelry, used printing sheets for clothes, old newspapers for collages and many others. The choice of technique however depends on what is most appropriate for expressing the message, using different art forms like printmaking, jewelry design, garment construction, painting etc. to drive home my message.
